I have had the opportunity to help create over 800 small business jobs. Understanding how jobs are created has left me well equipped to make sure state government eliminates bureaucracy and helps small businesses do what they do best. I am ready to work on legislation that will advance a pro-jobs agenda. Creating job opportunities for the thousands of unemployed and underemployed in our community has to be a top priority. My plan has three parts:

• CUT RED TAPE
  - Remove hurdles keeping businesses out of Indiana
  - Improve access to job creation tax credits
  
  
• GROW SMALL BUSINESS
  - Reduce regulations that hurt small businesses
  - Promote fair taxes that encourage startups
  
  
• BUILD ON PURDUE
  - Leverage research dollars to create local jobs
  - Match technical training with business needs
