Paul Roales is a small business investor from West Lafayette and a Democratic Candidate for State Representative (Indiana - District 26) in 2010.

He first moved to the Lafayette community more than a decade ago to attend Purdue University, where he was active in organizations like Purdue Student Government and Boilers Living Off Campus. After graduating with a degree in Industrial Technology, Paul began a career with Pearl Street Venture Capital Funds, helping develop startup companies and create new jobs. His accomplishments to date include thirteen businesses in fields like biotechnical development, wireless services, and marketing.

It was during this work that he returned to Purdue to pursue a graduate degree in Agricultural Economics. As a Master's student, Paul ran for the West Lafayette City Council where he fought - often on a bipartisan basis - for responsible development, campus safety, and low taxes.

Over the next few months, he is committed to having a conversation with area residents about the changes they would like to see in state government. Central to Paul's platform is quality state support for all levels of education and the development of a sensible, low tax policy that helps attract entrepreneurs and keep good jobs.
